Understanding construction procurement in New Zealand - A construction industry panel discussion

Chair: David Kelly, Chief Executive, Registered Master Builders

The recent high-profile failures of some of our largest construction companies has shone a light on poor procurement practice in New Zealand.

Resolution requires all parties to change their practices, from clients through to lead and sub-contractors, and the lawyers who advise each side. Sector leaders are coming together to debate and share their views on the issue – we urge you to be part of the conversation.

This is a chance for a robust discussion about procurement approaches, contract provisions, and risk mitigation. Hear from Registered Master Builders Association (RMBA) and senior leaders of New Zealand’s largest commercial construction companies. RMBA will also be sharing their contractor guidelines for the sector.

We need a long-term solution to ensure a strong and sustainable construction industry that can serve New Zealand now and into the future. This is your chance to play a part.
